Happy International Women’s Day!

In celebration of powerful, amazing, courageous women, we invited some of our favourite females to explore our hood with their girl gang – Cindy, Alicia, Samantha, Vivien and Flora got to experience Great fashion, home wear, art and dining the South Granville way!

Le Creuset

Oh! Those colours! Every year Le Creuset features a new colour throughout their kitchen wear line. Colour of the year 2019 was ‘Sage’ – which was the undeniable favourite of the night and will still be en vogue 2020. Every Le Creuset cast iron product is dish washer safe but if you need the low down on how to get them enamel, just pop into the store ask for secret tips and tricks while enjoying a coffee and a snack (did we hear almond croissant?!).

Working out and being active are true actions of self-love. Get your sweat on with functional and chic activewear that is made of upcycled materials such as mattresses and bottles… and love the earth too. Lolë’s newest stroke of genius is the Micro Lily bag with its adjustable and removable straps, which makes it purse and backpack in one – which was loved by our fashion savvy girls. Exclusive to South Granville, this is the only Lolë retail store in Vancouver.

Bau-Xi Gallery

3045 Granville St, Vancouver, BC V6H 3J6

You can’t help but being art struck of Bau-Xi’s beautiful rooms and its pieces! The gallery showcases a changing collection of artists including Canadian Contemporary and women artists. An awe-inspiring floral exhibit by Jamie Evrard was just hung with inspirations from Vancouver’s own Van Dusen Gardens. Our girls’ breath was taken away by Bau-Xi’s choice of art!

The Rise Eatery

3121 Granville St, Vancouver, BC V6H 3K1

The evening ended with a Rose and Gold styled Dinner at The Rise Eatery. The table was beautifully decorated with settings by west elm and romantic florals by fempreneur Rosemin of Queen Bee Flower Shop. The eatery is one of South Granville’s hidden gems – which won’t be hidden anytime longer. The complete girl gang was totally mind-blown by Chef Dan’s approach of focussing on applying international cooking techniques with ingredients of another culture to create fascinating flavour experiences. Their favourite dish of the night was without a doubt the Uni-Versal Pasta XO Edition, which is squid ink pasta with prawns and an egg yolk and so so good!
