Study on Retail Change in Neighbourhoods.
The South Granville BIA has been selected as a pilot area for a broader study conducted on the challenges and opportunities for small, independent business in the City of Vancouver. The study – commissioned by the city – is looking to answer What changes (ie:// business mix, size, ownership, property values, rents, and taxation) have occurred in the South Granville BIA (and other study areas) over the last decade? and What are the primary drivers of change in business mix?
Part of the process includes an upcoming roundtable event to engage South Granville BIA members. The event will be held on the morning of June 19th between 8:30-10:00 am on South Granville (location TBA). This is open to all area business owners, operators, landlords and leasing professionals within SGBIA membership. The event will include the following elements:
- Completion of a Survey
- Brief presentation focused on ‘what we have discovered so far’ about South Granville.
- Creative Planning / Causal links discussion – what is driving change?
If you are interested in attending, please RSVP by June 10th to Ivy Haisell at firstname.lastname@example.org. This is a free event for SGBIA members but RSVP is required. We look forward to hearing your input and appreciate you giving your time.
