Plaza West Goes Lush for Spring

Spring is blooming in South Granville and it’s arriving with a lush, tropical twist. This year, South Granville Plaza West (Granville St x W 13th Ave) will be transformed into a tropical oasis, featuring a new walk-in art installation designed to draw visitors in and spark joy at the heart of the neighbourhood.

Starting early April and running through May, the 2025 installation will infuse the plaza with a bold, botanical vibe. Think: lush monstera vines, sculptural orchids, Birds of Paradise, lotus pods, vibrant proteas, and cascading kokedama-style hanging plants. Designed to delight and inspire, this eye-catching display will offer a moment of escape and beauty in the middle of the city, encouraging people to slow down, snap a photo, and explore all that South Granville has to offer.

Placemaking activations like this one do more than beautify - they bring people out, encourage foot traffic, and create opportunities for connection and commerce. With the plaza acting as a seasonal focal point, now’s the time to tap into the energy and attention it will bring.
