Shop Local Often

Shop local often is a city wide campaign created to promote shopping local and supporting local businesses in Vancouver, BC. This campaign is put on by the Business Associations (BIAs) of Vancouver and supported by the BC Chamber of Commerce.

When
The campaign will run from January 1st to February 13th, 2022. Although, we encourage to shop local and support local businesses today, tomorrow often and always!

Why 
Keeping dollars close to home will stimulate the community, create more jobs and strengthen the economic base of our city. Follow along for more facts about how shopping local often supports your community!

More Facts
A recent study from @locobc found that when people shop in brick and mortar stores, the purchase has107 times more impact than online purchases shopping local helps reduce the greenhouse gas impacts of your purchase. Shopping local creates local jobs, it nurtures a sense of community and helps in the
creation of the neighbourhoods we love. Shopping local is essential at this time to keep the entrepreneurs in our community supported and keep diverse shopping areas alive.

How To Participate? 
Spread the Shop Local Often message! Share the art installations, sidewalk decals, bus and all your favourite local shops with us by tagging us at @shoplocaloftenvancouver! Best thing about it? You can win $1,000 shopping money to the local business of your choice.
